Born and raised in Wellsville, NY, Cyndi is a 1995 graduate of Wellsville Central School. Since graduation she has resided in Scio. She is a single mother of four amazing children.
In August of 2012 she started her career in the insurance industry. She joined Schenk & Miles in September 2013 and has been licensed since March 2014.
She is an active volunteer EMT-Basic with the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Squad as well as a volunteer and EMS captain with the Scio Volunteer Fire Department. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, camping, and playing sports.
A lifelong resident of Friendship, Deb graduated from Friendship Central School where she met and married her husband, Randy. Following his military deployment to Okinawa and Vietnam, they spent two years at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri before returning to Friendship in 1974. They raised three daughters while Randy worked Allegany County constructing bridges and she began her career in insurance.
Deb began working for George Schenk as a Customer Service Representative and bookkeeper in 1974. In 1983 she took specialized course and became a licensed Life, Accident and Health agent. Three years later she completed college courses and obtained her Property and Casualty license for both personal and commercial lines.
Throughout her 40 years with the agency, she has enjoyed meeting people and helping them with a variety of insurance needs, finding no two days are ever alike. With the recent change in ownership, she is finding added enjoyment working for her daughter, Michelle Hall.
Karyn is the middle daughter of Phillip and Marcia Pratt, and was raised in Wellsville, NY. After losing almost everything in a total house fire In Belfast, she worked two jobs and commuted an hour daily to Alfred State College to obtain an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Ornamental Horticulture Floriculture Merchandising. She worked for almost ten years as a floral designer at a floral shop and greenhouse in Olean. In November 2011, with a new career path in mind, she began working at the agency's Friendship location. Karyn received her Personal Lines agent's license in August 2012.
When Karyn is not working as an insurance agent, she enjoys working with her boyfriend at his concession stands at many various venues. She also is an Ambit Energy Consultant. Wine with her friends, bingo, or bowling always make for an enjoyable time, as well as gardening and flower arranging, or just spending time with her nephew. She also enjoys motorcycle rides..
Born and raised in Queens, NY, Alice also lived in Baton Rouge, LA for two years during high school. She attended Christ the King Regional High School in Queens and Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge as well as Queens College in Flushing, NY. She began her professional career as a Library Clerk at a mid-town Manhattan law firm. She married her husband in 1985 and became a full-time mom to her three boys.
She and her family moved to Wellsville in 2004 and have fallen in love with the area. She joined the agency in 2006 as a Customer Service Representative and obtained her Personal Lines Agent license in 2011. She truly enjoys helping people find the right product to fit their insurance needs.
In her free time she enjoys antiquing, especially anything tea related, crafting jewelry, and rescuing animals in need. Her menagerie includes 2 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit and a bird.
Marcia was born and raised in the Wyoming/Leicester, NY area where she met her husband, Phillip in 1973. They were married in 1974 and moved to Wellsville in 1976. Marcia was a stay at home mom to her three daughters until 1985 when she went to work part time at Kmart. In 1987 she took a full time position at a bank in Wellsville and then transferred to Fleet Bank in Friendship as the Branch Manager. In 2000 she joined the agency at the Wellsville location and obtained her Property & Casualty agent's license in 2001.
In her free time she enjoys being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Star of the East Chapter # 109. She has held many seats in the Chapter along with District Deputy Grand Matron for Allegany District. Most recently she was asked to be Grand Representative of Alabama near the Grand Chapter of New York. She also enjoys playing hand bells, singing with her church family, as well as Thursday night bowling with the girls and Friday date night with her husband. Her grandson blessed her life in 2002. And, of course she doesn't go anywhere without her latest book to read.
Daughter of Randall and Deborah Crane, Michelle was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where her father served as Military Police with the US Army. Raised in Friendship, NY she learned the value of a good work ethic, the unconditional support and love of family and the encouragement from a small school and community. After graduation as Valedictorian of her high school class, she married Tim Hall, her high school sweetheart in July that same year.
While attending Jamestown Community College she was introduced to the insurance business through a work program which led to a Customer Service Representative position in a local agency. A merger with another agency and the arrival of their third child in April of 1999 led Michelle to a change in career path to a "stay at home mom". By May of 1999 Michelle was operating a certified day care from her home in Friendship.
As fate would have it, a position with Schenk and Miles Agency became available at the time Michelle's youngest child was approaching school age. After careful consideration she decided that timing was right to once again work outside the home. Starting as a Customer Service Representative, Michelle obtained her agent's license in 2003. Rolly Miles saw her potential and approached Michelle in 2006 about purchasing the agency following his retirement. In October of 2013 she became the proud owner of Schenk and Miles Agency, Inc.
Michelle is dedicated to the success of the business while balancing quality time with family and friends. She enjoys the hectic pace of three active children involved in a variety of activities. Michelle is a proud active member of the Women's Auxiliary of Post 1168. She enjoys annual camping trips with friends and biking with her husband, as well as community choir with her son. Michelle is "Small Town" with a tremendous amount of pride for her family, friends, business and community!
The son of R. Wayne and Betty Hall, Tim was born and raised in Friendship, NY. A graduate of Alfred as a mason, Tim has spent over twenty years working at Saputo, formerly known as Friendship Dairies as a Maintenance Lead Man Mechanic and First Aid Officer. Tim has a passion for helping people and is the current Captain of the Friendship Ambulance Squad. An active member of Post 1168 Sons of the American Legion, Tim has been the Post's designated bugler for over 25 years. Any individual would be touched to hear echo taps being played by Tim and his daughter during the Memorial Day service held each year in Friendship.
In 2011 Tim obtained his insurance agent's license and has dedicated countless hours to assisting the agency. Tim enjoys country living; spending time in the woods and on the golf course are hobbies that he shares with all three of his children. Camping with family and friends has created some of his most treasured memories, while taking his wife, Michelle, for a motorcycle ride helps both of them lose the tensions of the day.
